AG Concept lined up stunning cultural fiesta at bridal night in Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah

UAE traditions were be among those showcased at the Bridal Night staged recently by AG Concept, a leading folk dance group operating from Beirut since 1992, at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah.

Many stunning tableaus were presented during the event in the significant venue, highlighting the traditions of Lebanon, Egypt, UAE and the Gulf in general, including dances and cultural performances, according to Majdi Zebian, Founder and Managing Director of AG Concept.

The bridal night, was first of kind in terms of ideas, costumes, decor, lifestyle, dialogue, human interaction and historical milestones, catering to preferences of Lebanese and Arab couples for their wedding ceremonies. Many Arab celebrities attended the evening including Sheikha Hind Al-Qassemi, Walid Attalla, fashion designer, Actress Sumaya El Khashab, Singer Najwa Sultan.

“The event included multi-cultural tableaus celebrating the varied traditions and costumes of the Arab world and other nationalities worldwide. We held this bridal night as part of our commitment to make Lebanese and pan Arab weddings blend traditions with modernization through cultural integration,” Zebian said. “This show brought alive the cultures of Lebanon, Levant, UAE, Egypt, Morocco, India, Mexico, Europe, America and Asia.”

The show incorporated finest performances embodying different genres of cultures, such as Gulf, Romanian, Pharaonic, Mexican, Latin, French, American, African and Phoenician.

AG Concept has grown phenomenally over the years, since it was established as the first Lebanese wedding dance group and then grew into a professional dance group.

“Our performers have offered many ancient or modern storyline, giving the audience a real feel of weddings in the Arab world as well as Lebanon,” Zebian said.

AG Concept began in 1992 with Lebanese Dabke for rural heritage; thereafter it won acclaim for wedding performances and ancient folklore shows and later on, theatre shows.

 “The show proved to be one of the best we did in the history of Zeffet show. The acts enthralled the multi-cultural audience and offered a memorable and spectacular performance,” concluded Zebian.

AG Concept boasts a series of theatre shows, including ‘Hal Al Farah’ and ‘Hikayat Hilm’ performed, edited, composed and directed by some leading names in dance and theatre.
