Pink Caravan organises "Together We Achieve Better" at Al Majaz Waterfront today (Sunday) in Sharjah

The Pink Caravan, a pan-UAE awareness initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients, FoCP, organizes today (Sunday – 13 March) an open sport day "Together We Achieve Better" at Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, from 5-9pm. 

The event encompasses numerous sports and fun activities targeting all segments of community members, in order to draw people's attention to Pink Caravan's efforts in spreading awareness about breast cancer encouraging them to undergo free early detection examinations offered by its stationary and mobile clinics.

"Together We Achieve Better" is organised as part of a series of events held alongside the Pink Caravan Ride, taking place from March 07-17 under the slogan "Soldiers of Pink Hope", with an aim to promote community awareness about breast cancer and the importance of its early detection as well as offering free screenings across the UAE.  

The event will feature different fun and entertaining activities for children that will take place from 5:00-7:00 pm, including competitions, sports games and a range of workshops, namely "Pink Crown Decoration", "My Mother's Features", and "My Mother's Anniversary".

The event will also include the “Photo-shooting Booth”, “Pink Caravan's Sales Corner” and “Food Corner”, as well as the “Pink Race” for adults, which will take place from 5:30-6:30 pm.

The fun-filled sporting day is expected to see a huge public turnout, while the fixed medical booth at Al Majaz Waterfront is all set to receive the largest possible number of visitors who want to get free screenings and seek advice about the disease and its preventive methods. The clinic is open daily from 4pm-10pm throughout the 10-day horseback ride.
