Dammam Airports signs contracts worth over SAR 1.2B

Dammam Airports Co. signed agreements worth more than SAR 1.2 billion on June 8, as part of a broader package of transportation-sector deals exceeding SAR 3 billion.

The contracts were signed in the presence of Eastern Province Governor Prince Saud bin Nayef.

The airport-related agreements include the construction of a new power station and a medium-voltage distribution network at King Fahd International Airport (KFIA), as well as the upgrade of the existing electrical grid to improve network reliability and support future growth in passenger and operational traffic.

The package also includes a project to rehabilitate the northern road to KFIA, covering the road linking the airport to Safwa Bridge. The upgrade is intended to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow.

In addition, Dammam Airports signed a lease agreement for dedicated facilities to support aircraft catering services at KFIA.
