As part of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), AG Concept, a prominent pan-Arab dance group, is performing at the Global Village, featuring various folkloric segments from around the globe. Shows will continue until 2nd February, with daily performances.

The timings were selected to match peak periods and it is being aired live on national TV, showing to the world glimpses of Dubai’s international community.

Majdi Zebian, Founder and Managing Director of AG Concept, which is part of the renowned ‘Afrah Group’, said: “The UAE is a destination like no other, as each performance is appreciated by the nationals of that country as well as dance lovers from over 120 nationalities living on its land. Additionally, AG Concept shows are followed by thousands in the UAE on TV.”

AG Concept has just concluded a successful one month run of shows in Al Ain Zoo entitled ‘Arabian Month’, which attracted thousands during December, mainly during weekends.

“The UAE is the right destination to be in, and it is the platform that we chose to go international. We have in the past performed works of international composers and poets, and coming to the UAE will bridge our efforts to reach international level.”

AG Concept will continue to perform shows in the coming period featuring several international cultures.

The group is keen to provide theatrical performances that reflect a specific period of history, with meticulous attention to details of clothing, decoration, life concepts, language, dialogue, customs, traditions and historical facts.

According to Zebian, AG Concept performers have a long history in artistic dance, and they usually well-versed in each culture. They also trained physically according to the demands of each historical period, making sure they make the cultural dances authentic.
